As we enter 2022, we have been reflecting on what was a challenging yet prosperous year for Iconic Resourcing in 2021 and the stark difference between the start of the year to the end, with January 2021 in full lockdown, the increase in vacancies and demand in talent throughout the year, to the arrival of the new Omicron variant.
We are now announcing 3 new staff appointments, the launch of a new division and an office move to larger premises tripling the size of our current space, all in the month of January!
At Iconic Resourcing we are busier than ever and the team are working hard to help our varied and growing client portfolio and have started the year with a number of exciting new roles brought to market, all of which can be viewed on our jobs page. Some highlights of last year also included winning Best Recruitment Consultancy (Newcomer) at the S1 Jobs Awards, the launch of our Marketing division with Kerry McFarlane joining our team and the expansion of our operational support with Eirinn McDonald.
Following the successful launch of the Marketing division last November, we have now appointed Debby Stewart to launch and lead the Legal recruitment practice, where she will partner with many leading law firms in Scotland. Two further appointments have been made to expand our Accountancy & Finance team with Jenna Crole moving from University of Glasgow and Emma Shahnavaz joining from Allstaff. The new appointments will mean the team has doubled in headcount since January 2020. All three new team members will commence their roles in the coming weeks.
Making further investment into the business, we have signed a new office space, securing one of the few remaining suites at the impressive Garment Factory in Merchant City where we will join the likes of Channel 4, Shoosmiths and Incremental. The award winning category B listed building was a £6 million refurbishment by Castleforge Partners and has many original features as well as providing a contemporary office space with exposed ceilings, brickwork and large original windows which provide the benefit of natural light. This move will allow the business to grow and take on further hires in 2022 and signifies a truly collaborative and innovative space for the team who already work in a blended mix of home and office based working. Iconic has been based at our small hub at 1 West Regent Street since 2019, this lease of a significantly larger office space in the heart of the Merchant City marks a step up in our ambition – it’s an Iconic building! We make our move to the Garment Factory on 24thJanuary.
The growth in our sectors has continued at a strong pace and the demand for permanent and interim professionals remains high. 2022 is shaping up to be a huge year for our markets and a great time to reach out to the team at Iconic Resourcing if you are considering a career change or additions to your team.
