Iconic Resourcing, a leading recruitment firm based in Scotland, celebrates its fifth anniversary this month with a bold announcement of strategic plans for the years ahead.
Founded in April 2019 as a two-person operation focusing primarily on HR and Accountancy & Finance, Iconic Resourcing has experienced exponential growth over the past half-decade. Today, the company boasts a team of 20 professionals across four key areas from organic growth, including Marketing and Legal, and this week has expanded its service offerings to include a fifth division: Technology.
The decision to launch the Technology division comes in response to the increasing demand for skilled tech professionals in Scotland’s rapidly growing technology sector. With less than four out of 10 Scottish businesses feeling fully equipped to meet their digital technology needs, Iconic Resourcing aims to bridge the gap by providing bespoke talent solutions in the technology and data space.
Leading the Technology division is Andy Marshall, a seasoned professional with a unique background in both IT recruitment and business analysis. With experience at renowned organisations such as RBS and Royal London, Andy brings a wealth of expertise to the team and is poised to drive the division’s success.
In addition to expanding its service offerings, Iconic Resourcing has also ventured into a new service line: Talent Solutions. This talent advisory and consultancy service is designed to assist businesses of all sizes and industries with strategic talent advice, ranging from education programs and early-stage recruitment foundations to large-scale advisory services.
Over the past five years, Iconic Resourcing has demonstrated its ability to adapt and evolve to meet the changing needs of its clients, particularly during and post-pandemic. With a clear vision and mission for the next two years, the company’s senior leadership team recently secured funding through the Glasgow Business Growth Programme and collaborated with external consultants from Edinburgh-based Genoa Black to develop a strategic plan for the next five years.
As part of this strategic plan, Iconic Resourcing aims to increase its total headcount to 45 by 2026, with 35 of these positions dedicated to recruiters across various locations. The company is committed to sustainable growth and looks forward to continuing its journey of success in the years to come.
Quote from Hannah Green: “As we launch our new Technology division, we’re seizing the opportunity to contribute to Scotland’s vibrant tech scene. With a surge in start-ups and a thriving tech ecosystem, the demand for skilled professionals is at an all-time high. Additionally, we’re excited to address the growing demand for interim professionals in the contract space across many of our divisions. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Iconic Resourcing as we continue to evolve and meet the dynamic needs of our clients.”
Quote from Lauren Jow: “Our introduction of Talent Solutions underscores our commitment to providing comprehensive support to businesses beyond traditional recruitment. We recognise the need for advisory services that go beyond job placement, addressing challenges in talent attraction and retention. Particularly in the post-pandemic landscape, businesses are seeking holistic solutions to bridge skill gaps and optimise their workforce. Talent Solutions aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver value-driven services and support our clients in achieving their strategic objectives. We have ambitious growth plans and are continuing to recruit. Our positive staff retention rates are also higher than the industry norm because we genuinely work differently”
