What are we seeing in the market.    

There has been a strong momentum in recruiting solicitor trainees in Scotland which has been maintained for a third consecutive year, with another 765 traineeships commencing in the past 12 months, according to the Law Society of Scotland. This is great to see and will positively impact the legal recruitment market all be it down the line when these individuals go on to qualify.

Andrew Inglis and Jenna Anne Crole shared expertise on personal branding, offering further guidance, while engaging discussions covered topics like presenting oneself to employers, navigating career challenges, and distinguishing emotional from professional connections to work. For nearly two decades, The Herald Law Awards for Scotland have celebrated the outstanding work of the country’s top legal professionals and firms. Serving as a premier legal event, it gathered influential figures from Scotland’s legal landscape. The 2023 edition featured an array of categories, including new additions, with MBM Commercial clinching the Corporate Team of the Year and Gilson Gray securing the Debt Recovery Team of the Year. A testament to the industry’s excellence, all entrants showcased commendable efforts and should take pride in their contributions.
