On Tuesday morning, Talent Talks made its debut.
Set within the industrial charm of The Garment Factory in Glasgow, we brought together a curated group of 25 internal talent professionals to quietly launch something we’ve been building behind the scenes – a conversation series designed for people who spend their careers thinking about other people’s careers.
Our inaugural session explored The Relationship Economy – not as a theory, but as lived experience. From how feedback (or the lack of it) impacts employer brand and retention, to the realities of influencing hiring decisions, to the discipline of nurturing candidate relationships beyond the role at hand.
It was reflective. Candid. At times challenging.
And that’s the point.
Why Talent Talks is different
Talent Talks was created as an antidote to overcrowded, surface-level recruitment events. There are no stages here. No grandstanding. No LinkedIn soundbites being collected for future posts.
Instead, it’s 25 people. One topic. And one morning of straight talking, no fluff conversation over good coffee.
Confidentiality is baked into the format – which means you won’t see us posting soundbites, slides or takeaways. Because what’s said in the room, stays in the room.
What we can say is this: these conversations matter. And we’ve only just started.
